On Thursday, August 9, a family member named Zahra Danejo shared the news on X. She wrote, “My aunt built this mosque in Yola as Sadaqatul Jariya in honor of her husband, my late uncle, Professor Gidado Tahir. If this isn’t true love, then I don’t know what is. May Allah bless her abundantly… May Allah grant him Jannah.”
Professor Gidado Tahir, a former UBEC Executive Secretary, passed away in 2022.
