Olu Martins, Deputy Director General of Media for the Asue/Ogie Campaign Management Council, announced on Wednesday that the campaign’s final stretch begins today (Thursday) at the Ubiaja Township Stadium in Esan South East, Edo Central. The campaign will peak on September 14 with a major rally in Benin, featuring PDP governors, the national chairman, and party executives. Martins noted, “The Thursday event at Ubiaja Township Stadium is set to kick off with high energy. Polls consistently show Asue Ighodalo of the PDP leading.”
He added that local support is strong, with Ubiaja and the broader Edo Central area ready to welcome the campaign team. “We are concentrating on key areas such as Oredo, Egor, and Ikpoba Okha, where the number of polling units is highest. Our goal is to ensure every vote counts and is securely delivered to INEC.”
Martins confirmed that the campaign will be managed by Mathew Iduoriyekewen, with Asue Ighodalo and his running mate Osarodion Ogie set to outline their plans for the electorate.
