Voting Developments

Labour Party candidate Olumide Akpata has cast his vote and expressed confidence in his chances, praising the voter turnout. APC candidate Monday Okpebholo also voted, commending the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its management of the election.

However, the election faced challenges in Ward 8, Unit 1, Orhionmwon, where voters were frustrated by the absence of election result sheets, leading to agitation. INEC officials claimed the sheets were en route, but many voters refused to participate without them.
