2. The Kwara State High Court in Ilorin sentenced five armed robbers involved in the deadly Offa bank robbery to death. The convicts—Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibikunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salahudeen Azeez, and Niyi Ogundiran—were found guilty of attacking banks and police stations in April 2018, resulting in numerous fatalities, including police officers.

In response to an audio leak suggesting that crossdresser Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky), who was sentenced to six months in prison, had been given preferential treatment, the Federal Government suspended at least two senior officers overseeing the Maximum and Minimum Custodial Centres in Kirikiri, Lagos State.
