FRSC Provides Update On Former Kwara Lawmaker’s Fatal Crash
New information has surfaced regarding the tragic death of former Kwara State lawmaker Christopher Ayeni in a fatal auto crash on Thursday along the Ajasse-Ipo highway. According to a statement from the Kwara State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ilorin, the accident occurred around 10:10 am. The FRSC responded swiftly, arriving at the scene within 15 minutes, at 10:25 am, approximately 500 meters from Igbaja Junction.

The FRSC identified the vehicles involved as a grey commercial truck, registered as T-17488LA, and a white Toyota Hilux pickup. The accident reportedly resulted from overspeeding, affecting five individuals—three males and two females—all of whom sustained injuries.
Items recovered from the scene included two Android phones, which have been secured by the FRSC, as well as two bags that were turned over to the Ajase police division. The injured victims were transported to Ajase Cottage Hospital for medical treatment, according to the statement.
