MRS, despite comments from its Chairman Alhaji Sayyu Idris Dantata, has begun selling petrol at the new rate in its Lagos filling stations. Additionally, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery lowered its ex-pump price from ₦970 to ₦899.50 per litre.

This reduction aims to alleviate financial burdens for Nigerians, especially with the holiday season approaching. Anthony Chiejina, Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, confirmed that the refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS, pricing it at ₦899.50 per litre for truck loading. Furthermore, customers who purchase petrol on a cash basis will receive an additional litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
