Okpebholo Commends Tinubu As Warri Refinery Revolutionizes Nigeria’s Petroleum Sector

On Monday, Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), announced that the Warri Refining & Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) in Warri, Delta State, has resumed production at a capacity of 125,000 barrels per day.

In response, Okpebholo, through a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited for successfully restarting the Warri Refinery.

The Governor praised Tinubu for his transformative efforts in the sector, which, he said, are already yielding positive outcomes for the nation’s economic growth. He also urged Nigerians to support the President’s initiatives.

Okpebholo added, “With the Warri, Port Harcourt, and Dangote refineries now operating together, there is renewed optimism for the petroleum sector’s future.”

He continued, “I join countless Nigerians in congratulating President Tinubu and the NNPCL under Mele Kyari for the successful revival of the Warri Refinery. This is indeed a New Year gift for the Nigerian people. Edo State will remain a strong supporter of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda as we work towards restoring our national pride and positioning Nigeria as Africa’s leading hub for crude oil refining.”
