Namadi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lost his son in a car accident just one day after his mother passed away due to illness.

In a post on X on Thursday, Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, shared that he visited Namadi as part of his New Year engagements to offer solidarity and support.

Obi also prayed that God would grant Governor Namadi and his family the strength to cope with their grief and find comfort in the support of their loved ones.

He wrote, “As part of my New Year engagements, I visited Jigawa State to commiserate with and stand in solidarity with my brother, His Excellency Mallam Umar A. Namadi, during this difficult time as he mourns the painful loss of both his mother and his son. My thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and the people of Jigawa as they face this profound grief.
