In an interview with New Telegraph, Aguocha affirmed his commitment to the Labour Party, expressing full confidence in the party’s vision.

He highlighted that Peter Obi is free to engage with anyone to encourage them to join the Labour Party in the quest to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in 2027.

“Peter Obi has the right to engage with as many individuals as possible to attract them to the Labour Party, aiming to challenge the current government and rebuild Nigeria,” Aguocha stated.

Despite acknowledging dissatisfaction among APC members, the lawmaker emphasized the need for a coalition to overcome the ruling party in the upcoming general election.

He said, “I share the same ideological beliefs with Peter Obi, Alex Otti, and the Labour Party platform. Our primary focus is to reclaim power from the APC to bring hope back to Nigerians, ensuring security and better living conditions.”

Aguocha dismissed concerns over recent defections, asserting that the Labour Party remains a symbol of hope for Nigerians.

“Nobody is satisfied, even APC members are unhappy with the current state of Nigeria. Forming a coalition with like-minded individuals who are committed to positive change is essential,” he added.

He likened the potential coalition to the APC’s successful formation that dethroned the PDP, underscoring the feasibility of Labour Party uniting with other aligned Nigerians to drive meaningful change.
