Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has faced accusations from WikkiTimes publisher, Haruna Salisu, of nepotism and suppressing dissent....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

.Salisu alleged that the governor favors family members and loyalists in key appointments, while silencing critics to maintain control over the state’s administration.

The publisher specifically criticized the appointment of two of the governor’s relatives, Rilwanu Mohammed and Adamu Duguri, as heads of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Agency and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), respectively.

He described these appointments as clear examples of nepotism, noting that sensitive government ministries and agencies are dominated by the governor’s associates and family members.

“Let’s examine your cabinet. Strategic ministries are led by your family and friends. Who oversees the PHC? A close relative of yours because it’s widely known that there are substantial interventions from developmental partners amounting to billions. One of the ways to siphon funds is by placing loyalists and family members in such positions,” Salisu said.

He further accused Governor Mohammed of showing a blatant disregard for due process and being intolerant of constructive criticism.

Salisu stated that individuals who oppose the administration’s policies are often silenced or arrested.
