Earlier reports indicated that Mustafa, the son of former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, was among those nominated for a commissioner position.

During a plenary session on Tuesday, assembly members deliberated on the governor’s choices and unanimously approved the appointments, signaling a commitment to enhancing the state’s governance.

In a related move, Governor Yusuf has proposed the establishment of four new ministries to expand Kano State’s administrative framework.

According to a letter read by Speaker Jibrin Falgore during the plenary, the proposed ministries include the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Power and Renewable Energy, Internal Security, and Solid Minerals. This initiative aims to address Kano’s growing developmental needs.

Governor Yusuf’s correspondence emphasized his administration’s dedication to tackling critical sectors essential for the state’s progress and the well-being of its citizens.

Additionally, the governor has sought the assembly’s approval for the dissolution of the boards of the assembly commission and the appointment of new members.
