Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd.), the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has officially summoned the suspended Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and his Deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Ibibia Lucky Worika, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

According to the statement, Governor Fubara is expected to present detailed records and supporting documentation of all appointments made during his two-year tenure, along with the processes and justifications behind them.

The summons will also provide a platform for the suspended Governor to articulate his case for reinstatement.

The official announcement reads:

RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

“The Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, CFR, has formally summoned the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and his Deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him for an official inquiry into appointments made throughout their administration over the past two years.

“Sir Fubara is instructed to present all relevant appointment documents, including procedural details and justifications.

“This session will also serve as an opportunity for him to explain why he believes he deserves reinstatement to office.
