Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, along with members of his cabinet and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the APC.

Shettima, accompanied by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, traveled to Asaba, Delta State, to formally receive Oborevwori and other defectors into the party.

Meanwhile, the APC in Delta State has kicked off the distribution of registration booklets, launching an official drive to welcome new members into its fold.

In an official statement, the APC instructed all Local Government Chairmen to collect the booklets — a strategic move designed to facilitate the onboarding of new entrants.

APC State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., stressed the significance of this registration exercise, noting it would strengthen the party’s grassroots and ensure smooth assimilation of defectors into the party’s structure.

“The registration of new members is crucial to their full integration within the party. We encourage all new members to approach their ward chairmen and complete the registration process,” the statement said.

This initiative aligns with the APC’s broader vision of building a more prosperous and united Delta State.
