According to multiple sources cited by Punch, the alleged agreement was discussed earlier this year during a private meeting between Obi and Atiku in the United Kingdom. The sources claim Atiku pledged to serve only one term, with Obi set to take on the role of Vice President.

A PDP insider revealed that both leaders have already reached a consensus and are currently engaging with their supporters to build broader backing for the alliance.

However, while speaking at a community event in Kubwa—where he donated to a school and hospital project under the Anglican Church—Peter Obi neither confirmed nor refuted the reported deal with Atiku.
