However, negotiations have been stalled due to Napoli’s rigid stance on the terms of the deal.

According to Football Italia, Turkish journalist Samet Çayır shared screenshots of a WhatsApp exchange allegedly involving De Laurentiis and someone claiming ties to the Turkish Mafia. The disturbing message threatened the Napoli VP, saying, “Let Osimhen go or you are finished,” and also issued threats against his father, Aurelio De Laurentiis, the club’s owner.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano weighed in, noting:
“Galatasaray rejected Napoli’s new terms. Talks will only resume if Napoli adjusts its demands. The current proposal includes €40 million now, another €35 million by 2026, and a sell-on clause. Galatasaray, however, wants to pay €35 million by 2027 and refuses to include a sell-on clause.”

Despite Galatasaray’s readiness to meet the striker’s valuation, the disagreement over payment structure and future profit-sharing continues to block the deal.

Turkish analyst Yagiz Sabuncuoglu stated that Napoli insists on a 20% sell-on clause and strict payment deadlines. Italian journalist Matteo Moretto confirmed that Napoli wants the full €35 million balance paid by the end of 2026.

Meanwhile, Alfredo Pedullà revealed Napoli has now set Osimhen’s final price at €75 million — demanding a minimum of €50 million upfront. Galatasaray had offered €40 million as an initial payment with the rest to be paid in instalments, but Napoli turned it down, allegedly asking for €55 million up front and the remaining €20 million later.
