NDLEA Burst Drug Consignments Hidden In Imported Car, Food Items Seized At Lagos Airport, Seaport

In a recent operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully busted a major drug manufacturing factory in Akuskura, Adamawa State. The factory was reportedly supplying drugs to neighboring countries such as Cameroon, Chad, and Niger Republic.
According to sources, the factory was involved in the production of a variety of illicit drugs, including methamphetamine, cannabis, and tramadol. The NDLEA had been tracking the factory for several months and finally raided it after receiving concrete evidence of its illegal activities. CONTINUE READING

During the operation, several individuals suspected of involvement in the drug manufacturing process were arrested. The NDLEA also seized a large quantity of drugs and drug-making equipment, including chemicals and machinery used in the production of methamphetamine.
The agency’s Chairman, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa, expressed his satisfaction with the operation, stating that it was part of the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to rid the country of the menace of drug trafficking and abuse. CONTINUE READING
He further urged Nigerians to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking to the NDLEA. He emphasized that the agency would continue to work tirelessly to ensure that drug traffickers and manufacturers are brought to justice, and that the country is kept safe from the harmful effects of drugs.
