[UPDATED] Anambra Decides: INEC Uploads 63% Of Results On IReV As Tight Race Heats Up

As of 4:33 p.m. on Saturday, data from 3,644 polling units had been uploaded out of the 5,718 where voting took place, according to figures on INEC’s official website.
INEC records show that Anambra State has 2,802,790 registered voters, with women making up a slightly higher percentage than men.
Gender breakdown:

Female: 1,430,323 (51.03%)

Male: 1,372,467 (48.97%)
In terms of occupation, students form the largest voting group, accounting for 29.31% of registered voters, followed by:

Traders: 18.47%

Businessmen/women: 17.83%
Voting commenced around 8:30 a.m. across the state’s 5,720 polling units in all 21 local government areas, with reports indicating a largely peaceful process, though voter turnout remained low and incidents of vote buying were recorded in some communities.
Out of the 16 political parties contesting the election, four candidates have emerged as the leading contenders:
