A now-viral video from the event shows Senator Tinubu stepping in to interrupt Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, while he was delivering his speech. Governor Adeleke, known for his lively personality, began singing midway through his remarks, drawing laughter and excitement from the audience.
However, the First Lady moved toward the podium and gently signaled for him to conclude his address.
“I’ll give you five minutes to finish your speech. Enough of the music — or I’ll turn off the microphone,” she was heard saying.
The colourful ceremony drew top dignitaries, including prominent political leaders and traditional rulers from within and outside the South-West.
Senator Tinubu’s new title was bestowed in recognition of her service to the Yoruba nation and national progress.
Despite the brief interruption, the programme continued seamlessly, with Governor Adeleke completing his comments before the event proceeded as planned.
The video clip has since stirred conversation across social media, with mixed reactions: some praised the First Lady’s firmness in ensuring order, while others questioned whether the public rebuke was necessary.
