Nigeria Police, PSC Open Doors To 50,000 New Constables – Here’s How To Apply

The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially launched the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Force.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The exercise follows a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to strengthen community policing, improve internal security, and expand the manpower of the NPF.

In a statement released on Thursday, the PSC confirmed that the recruitment portal is now open for applications from eligible Nigerians.

Qualifications and Requirements
For the General Duty cadre, applicants must possess GCE O-Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent certificates with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.

Specialist cadre applicants are required to have a minimum of four credits, including English and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings, along with at least three years of relevant experience and trade tests in their fields.

Additional requirements include:

  • Must be Nigerian by birth

  • Age between 18–25 years for General Duty and 18–28 years for Specialists

  • Medically, physically, and psychologically fit

  • Minimum height of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females (General Duty)

  • Fulfillment of other conditions detailed on the portal

Recruitment Portal and Deadline
The PSC stated that the online portal will be open from Monday, December 15, 2025, to Sunday, January 25, 2026. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the official portal: www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.

The Commission assured that the recruitment process will be transparent, merit-based, and credible, emphasizing that application is completely free and warning applicants to beware of fraudsters.

Detailed guidelines and instructions will be available on the portal once it is activated, as well as on the PSC and NPF official websites and social media pages.

The PSC encouraged all qualified Nigerians to take advantage of this opportunity to serve their nation.
