Popular media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Daddy Freeze, has ignited widespread debate after claiming that men should ejaculate 21 times a month to reduce the risk of prostate cancer.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The veteran radio host made the remarks during a recent livestream with social media personality Caterefe, suggesting that insufficient ejaculation could increase a man’s risk of developing the disease.

“I’m not encouraging masturbation, but if a man doesn’t ejaculate up to 21 times monthly, he may be increasing his chances of prostate cancer,” Daddy Freeze stated.

The comment quickly went viral, prompting mixed reactions from both medical professionals and social media users, many of whom described the claim as misleading.

Pharmacist Greatman responded, noting that there is no medically prescribed number of ejaculations that guarantees protection against prostate cancer.

“There is no fixed number that prevents prostate cancer. Some studies suggest that frequent ejaculation may slightly reduce the risk, but this is not a rule, treatment, or official medical recommendation,” he wrote.

Another social media user, Rhine_sto, cautioned against oversimplifying scientific research.

“Turning nuanced studies into a numeric prescription is how misinformation spreads. Research shows correlation, not causation. Doctors do not tell patients to ejaculate 21 times a month,” the user said.

However, some pointed out that Daddy Freeze’s claim may have been loosely inspired by existing research. Hunter_Guide1 cited a 2016 Harvard study involving over 32,000 men, which found that those who ejaculated 21 or more times per month had a 20–31% lower risk of prostate cancer compared to men who ejaculated only four to seven times monthly.

He wrote, “Daddy Freeze said men should ejaculate 21+ times a month to reduce prostate cancer risk, and he’s not completely wrong. The 2016 Harvard study shows that frequent ejaculation was linked to a lower risk—but it’s correlation, not a guarantee. Factors like age, genetics, family history, and lifestyle matter much more. Still, regular ejaculation may help flush the prostate and reduce inflammation. True prevention includes eating well, exercising, avoiding smoking, and regular medical checkups.”

Medical experts emphasize that while frequent ejaculation may show a slight association with lower risk, prostate cancer prevention depends far more on genetics, age, lifestyle, diet, smoking habits, and routine health screenings rather than hitting a specific numeric target.
