The update was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the ministry’s spokesperson, Kimibie Ebienfa, who noted that the process is progressing smoothly, with approvals already received from ten countries.
The countries that have granted agrément include the United Kingdom, France, United States, Ireland, Qatar, Benin, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.
Ebienfa stated that the process of receiving approvals from host countries is still ongoing, with additional responses expected in the coming weeks.
He also disclosed that the date for the induction ceremony of the ambassadors-designate will be announced once it is finalised and approved by the Presidency.
The latest update suggests that the process is nearing completion, as key international partners and regional allies have already granted their consent.
With more approvals anticipated, focus is now on the Presidency to conclude the process and officially deploy the envoys to their respective postings.
