This directive was issued in a statement on Tuesday by the Permanent Secretary (General Services), Godwin Tighil, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, Deborah Aber.

Titled “Declaration of Public Holiday To Mark Easter Celebration,” the statement indicated that workers are expected to begin the holiday on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and resume duties on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

The directive was approved by the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

According to the statement, all public and civil servants are to proceed on Easter break from 1 p.m. on March 31, 2026.
