Obi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made this known during a meeting with the governor at the Presidential Lounge of the Government House in Bauchi on Thursday. He was accompanied by Igbo elders, ADC senators from the South-East, and political associates.
Speaking during the visit, Obi expressed concern over the current state of the country, saying Nigeria needs urgent redirection and a renewed commitment to unity and progress. He said the purpose of the meeting was to engage stakeholders in building a shared vision for a better future.
According to him, the goal is to create a more united Nigeria where opportunities are accessible to all citizens, regardless of background or connections. He stressed that the country must return to a system where merit, fairness, and hope define the path forward.
