During proceedings, defence counsel Femi Atteh (SAN) informed the court that the defendant had filed his final written address, along with a reply to the prosecution’s submissions, urging the court to discharge and acquit Mamman.

On the other hand, prosecution counsel Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) told the court the EFCC had also filed its final written address and asked the court to convict the former minister on all counts. He argued that evidence presented before the court, including testimonies about the movement of funds through a Bureau de Change and alleged cash deliveries linked to the defendant, supported the prosecution’s case.
