The party’s national chairman, David Mark, gave this assurance after receiving a briefing from the party’s legal team on a recent Federal High Court ruling in Abuja.
He assured members that the court cases would not prevent the party from appearing on the ballot in all elections, expressing confidence in the party’s legal position.
Mark stated that the ADC is fully prepared to handle the ongoing litigation and remains optimistic about a favourable outcome. He emphasised that the party would strictly adhere to legal procedures while pursuing the cases and would remain steadfast throughout the process.
Although not a legal practitioner, the former Senate President said he would actively lead and support the party’s efforts during the legal battle.
He also reassured members that there was no cause for alarm, maintaining that the party would ultimately prevail and participate fully in the elections.
Meanwhile, a recent court ruling barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising or engaging with the party’s caretaker leadership concerning state congresses. The court also restricted Mark and members of the caretaker committee from interfering with duly elected state executives.
In response, the party’s legal team has initiated an appeal against the judgment and applied for a stay of execution to suspend its enforcement while the appeal is being considered.
