The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has affirmed that Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will continue to serve as an ordained pastor in the church.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He made this known during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service, explaining that the First Lady was ordained as an Assistant Pastor over ten years ago, well before her husband, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pursued the presidency.

Adeboye emphasised that her ordination followed all required procedures and that she has not violated any of the church’s doctrines or guidelines.

He also dismissed calls from some quarters for her removal, stating that the church would not yield to external pressure on the issue.

In a related reflection, Adeboye recounted how he handled expensive gifts in the early days of his ministry during a thanksgiving service.

He shared that he once received a Mercedes-Benz from an elderly woman at a time when he still relied on public transportation. Unsure of what to do with such a gift, he left it unused for a while until he had a dream that made him realise rejecting it could hinder the giver’s blessing.

Acting on that understanding, he gave the car to his late deputy, Pastor Abiodun, despite being encouraged to keep it.

He later received three additional Mercedes-Benz vehicles, which surprised him.

On one occasion, a man reportedly delivered a rare six-door Mercedes limousine to his home in the early hours of the morning, claiming it was divinely inspired.

After praying about it, Adeboye said he decided to sell the vehicle and used the proceeds to purchase motorcycles for pastors, demonstrating his approach of turning luxury gifts into support for others.

He explained that he chose to redirect such gifts for the benefit of his ministry rather than personal use.
