APC Unveils Screening Committee, Releases Timetable For Governorship And National Assembly Aspirants

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the timetable for the screening of aspirants seeking tickets for the Senate and House of Representatives ahead of the party’s primaries for the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement issued on Friday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said Senate aspirants will undergo screening from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton), Abuja.

The statement also disclosed that screening for House of Representatives aspirants will take place within the same dates at Treasures Suites & Conferences, Abuja.

Morka urged all aspirants to appear promptly for the exercise with all necessary documents and credentials.

In a related development, the party also constituted a Screening Committee for serving governors seeking re-election or aspiring for Senate seats.

According to a statement by the APC National Organising Secretary, Muhammad Argungu, the committee will be chaired by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, while the National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, will serve as secretary. Other members are drawn from the National Working Committee (NWC).

The statement noted that screening for incumbent governors will hold from Friday, May 8 to Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge, starting at 4:00 PM on the first day and 10:00 AM on the second day.

It further stated that screening for other governorship aspirants is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the NWC Hall, APC National Secretariat in Abuja, beginning daily at 10:00 AM.
