Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle following the resignation of two commissioners who stepped down to pursue political ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

This was disclosed on Friday in a statement issued in Asaba by the State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu.

According to the statement, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Princess Pat Ajudua, will now oversee the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development.

It also stated that the Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Godknows Angele, has been assigned to supervise the Ministry of Youth Development with immediate effect.

The statement explained that the changes followed the resignation of the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development, Orode Uduaghan, and the Commissioner for Youth Development, ThankGod Trakiriowei.

Both former commissioners reportedly stepped down to contest seats in the Delta State House of Assembly in the upcoming elections.

Governor Oborevwori appreciated their contributions to the state and wished them well in their future political endeavours.

He added that the new supervisory arrangements take immediate effect, pending further government directives.
