Omole made the remarks in an interview with Edmund Obilo, where he discussed alleged tensions between Aisha Buhari and some members of the former president’s inner political circle while he was in office.
He noted that there were claims of strained relationships between the former First Lady and certain individuals within the presidency at the time. He also referenced her reported personal concerns during her stay at the Presidential Villa.
According to him, Aisha Buhari had at one point expressed feelings of being under what she described as spiritual attacks while living in the Villa. He added that there were also concerns about her security, which reportedly led to her temporarily leaving the residence.
Omole further stated that the former First Lady was unsettled by some of the experiences she said she went through while residing in Aso Villa.
“Some people within the former president’s inner political circle did not have a smooth relationship with Aisha Buhari while she was in Aso Villa,” he said.
“She once said she felt she was experiencing spiritual attacks during that period,” he added.
“There were concerns about her personal safety at some point, and she temporarily left the Presidential Villa,” he noted.
He concluded that she was deeply troubled by some of the experiences she allegedly faced during her time as First Lady.
