Shine Rosman Exposes Financial Struggles Hidden Behind Nollywood Glamour

She made the remarks during a podcast interview hosted by fellow actor Baaj Adebule.

The actress, known for her role in To Kill A Monkey, said many people assume that every Nollywood actor is financially successful simply because of their fame and public visibility.

According to her, the reality is very different, as many actors continue to face financial struggles despite appearing regularly on television and social media.

Rosman explained that only a small number of entertainers enjoy true financial stability, adding that many actors who appear wealthy often earn additional income from businesses or side ventures outside acting.

She noted that acting alone does not always generate enough income to sustain many people in the industry.

While acknowledging that some actors are financially comfortable, she stressed that a large number still struggle to meet basic needs.

According to Rosman, one of the biggest misconceptions about Nollywood stars is the belief that all actors are rich.

She said, “The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money. Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially.
