Breaking: Tinubu Wins APC 2027 Presidential Primary As Full Results Emerge

Tinubu secured a landslide victory over his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo from Edo State, in the party’s nationwide exercise.

The result was announced on Sunday, May 24, 2026, following voting conducted across 8,809 wards in all 774 local government areas of the country.

The declaration was made by the Chairman of the APC Presidential Primary Committee, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, during the collation of results at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

According to the official figures released:

• President Tinubu: 10,999,967 votes
• Stanley Osifo: 16,503 votes

Following the announcement, President Tinubu, accompanied by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, arrived at the International Conference Centre for the formal presentation of the certificate of return and party flag as the APC’s presidential candidate for 2027.

Earlier reports indicated that Tinubu had returned to Abuja from Lagos after participating in the primary election exercise.

He was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by top government officials, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy Obafemi Hamzat, Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, and other dignitaries.
