Speaking in an interview on Cool FM, the singer said he is focused on his solo music career and does not want his progress overshadowed by constant comparisons with his brother.

He noted that every artiste has a unique journey and expressed his desire to be recognized for his individual efforts and achievements.

Mr P emphasized that he is committed to building his brand on his own terms and wants his identity as a solo performer to stand on its own.

“There is no need comparing me with my brother or anyone else. Enough of the comparisons. I want to do my thing. There is nobody like me. I just want to focus on my work and enjoy my success,” he said.

He also reflected on the impact of the P-Square reunion on his solo career, stating that his independent progress was gaining significant momentum before the group came back together.

According to him, his social media following was growing rapidly at the time, with thousands of new followers joining his page daily.

Okoye added that the pace of his solo growth slowed after the reunion, which, in his view, affected the trajectory he had been building as an independent artiste.
