Kwankwaso confirmed the meeting in a post on his handle on Saturday, noting that the discussion centered on key national and partisan matters.

He also welcomed Obi back from what he described as a productive international trip.

“I had the honour of hosting my brother and partner, His Excellency Peter Obi, at my residence in Abuja,” Kwankwaso said.

“I warmly welcomed him back from his highly productive international engagement, and we held frank and productive discussions on key partisan and national issues.”

The former Kano governor emphasized that the NDC remains united despite internal political differences among its leaders.

He urged party members to show maturity, embrace sacrifice, and manage differences in the interest of their common goals.

“Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), remains united. As leaders, we must continue to demonstrate maturity by making necessary sacrifices and tolerating our differences in pursuit of our shared goal,” he stated.

Kwankwaso added that the party remains committed to its mission of improving the country’s situation.

“We are resolute in this mission, and together, we shall ensure that Nigeria is OK,” he said.
