First Result Sparks Excitement As ADC Records Early Victory In Ekiti Election

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has secured its first polling unit win in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The party emerged victorious at Ajagbala Hall Polling Unit in Okeruku Ward 02, located in Ikere Local Government Area.

According to the official result sheet, the ADC garnered 39 votes to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which polled 29 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished third with 17 votes.

The development comes shortly after the ADC governorship candidate, Dare Bejide, alleged that some of his supporters were subjected to violence during the election.

As vote collation continues, results from various polling units across the state are gradually emerging.

Bejide Loses at His Polling Unit

Despite the party’s early success in Ikere, ADC candidate Dare Bejide was defeated at his own polling unit by incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the APC.

Bejide, a native of Ward 2 in Ekiti South-West Local Government Area, received 37 votes at Polling Unit 004.

Governor Oyebanji dominated the polling unit with 140 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured just two votes.
