According to reports, security personnel stationed at the hospital restricted media workers from entering the premises as military authorities maintained tight control over movement within the medical centre.

Governor Seyi Makinde was later granted entry into the facility to meet with the rescued victims, while journalists and some government officials remained outside awaiting access.

Sources familiar with the development stated that several officials were also delayed as military personnel carried out security checks and clearance procedures around the hospital.

The environment around the medical facility was tense, with security operatives closely monitoring activities and regulating movement in and out of the premises.

According to Ireporter Online, military authorities had yet to provide an official explanation for the restriction placed on journalists despite the presence of media personnel and government representatives.

The governor was eventually allowed to meet with the freed pupils and teachers, who were taken to the hospital for medical examinations and further assessment following their release.

The victims had been abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area and spent several weeks in captivity before regaining their freedom, a development that brought relief to their families and residents of the state.

The incident had sparked widespread concern over the safety of schools in Oyo State, with teachers staging protests and authorities taking additional security measures, including the temporary closure of public schools in some areas.

The rescued pupils and teachers are currently receiving necessary medical attention as authorities continue efforts to ensure their recovery and safety.
