Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft veered off the runway after landing at Benin Airport on Thursday, assuring the public that all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated without injuries.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement issued following the incident, the airline said the aircraft had been secured and the appropriate aviation authorities were immediately notified in line with established safety procedures.

According to the airline, investigations are already underway to determine the condition of the aircraft and the circumstances that led to the runway excursion.

“Enugu Air wishes to inform the public that one of our aircraft operating into Benin experienced a runway excursion after landing today,” the statement read.

“We confirm that all passengers and crew safely disembarked, and there were no injuries or casualties. The aircraft has been secured, while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in accordance with established procedures. An assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently ongoing.”

The airline noted that the development could result in temporary disruptions to its flight operations and advised passengers to expect possible schedule adjustments.

It assured customers that anyone affected by changes to flight schedules would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary support.

“As a result of this incident, there may be temporary adjustments to some flight schedules. Passengers affected by any changes will be notified directly and assisted accordingly,” the airline stated.

Reaffirming its commitment to passenger safety, Enugu Air stressed that the safety of its customers, crew and operations remains its highest priority.

The airline added that it would continue to provide updates on the incident through its official communication channels as investigations progress.
