JUST IN: BBNaija Star Tacha Reportedly Arrested In Lagos Amid Fresh Drama

The Nigerian Police Force has reportedly arrested Big Brother Naija star Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha.

The development was disclosed on Sunday by Nigerian film producer and Chief Executive Officer of the Best of Nollywood (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, in a post shared on his Instagram page.

According to Oloketuyi, Tacha was arrested at her Ajah residence in Lagos after allegedly failing to honour three invitations reportedly issued by the police between May and August 2026.

Oloketuyi wrote:

“Tacha has been arrested today by NPF.

“Arrested early this morning after she was sent 3 invitations btw May and August by NPF-NCCC but she decided not to honour the IVs… until she was picked up at her residence early this morning at her Ajah residence.”

As of the time of the report, the specific reason for the police invitations and the circumstances surrounding the alleged arrest had not been publicly detailed.

Tacha Speaks on Late Mother’s Influence

The reported arrest comes months after Tacha spoke about the significant role her late mother played in shaping her career and driving her pursuit of success in the entertainment and beauty industries.

The reality TV star made the revelation in an interview with Daily Sun, where she reflected on her journey from gaining public attention to establishing herself in business.

Tacha said her mother’s hardworking nature and strong faith continued to inspire her despite her death.

According to the BBNaija star, she is constantly motivated by the desire to make her late mother proud through her achievements.

She said:

“I had a very hardworking and prayerful mother. Even though she’s late, I always feel the need and urge to make her proud. If she had the same opportunity I have right now, she would do everything I have done and even more. That is why I keep being me.”
