Drama As Mother Of Four Seeks Food Again After Reuniting With Unemployed Husband
A Nigerian woman has expressed frustration after a mother of four, whom she had reportedly assisted with food for more than seven months, returned to her home seeking further help after reconciling with her estranged husband.
According to reports, the woman had previously told her benefactor that her husband had abandoned her and their four children about a year earlier. During that period, she reportedly visited the woman’s home regularly to request food and other assistance.
However, the woman was surprised when the mother of four returned on Thursday to ask for foodstuffs, reportedly explaining that her household had not eaten since morning.
During the visit, the benefactor reportedly noticed that the woman was pregnant and asked about the development. The mother allegedly explained that her husband had returned, apologised for leaving the family and reunited with them.
She reportedly added that although her husband had returned, he had yet to secure employment.
The woman who had been providing assistance subsequently expressed frustration over the renewed request for support. She reportedly told the mother that she had no foodstuffs available and asked her not to continue coming to her home for assistance.
Questioning the extent of her responsibility, the woman expressed concern that she could not reasonably be expected to provide food for the reunited couple, their four children and the unborn baby.
She reportedly remarked, “So I should be feeding husband, wife, four children and pregnancy, must be nice.”
She also made another humorous remark questioning whether she had been too generous after repeatedly supporting the family.
The account has generated discussion online about the limits of financial and material assistance, with some people debating whether continued support should be expected after the circumstances of a family change.
While the story has attracted attention on social media, the claims are based on the woman’s account and have not been independently verified.
