A young woman’s relationship has reportedly ended after she repaid the ₦300,000 she borrowed from her boyfriend to settle her school fees.

After raising the money, the woman reportedly transferred the ₦300,000 to her boyfriend and called to inform him that she had fulfilled her promise. However, his response allegedly left her surprised, as he asked whether she had actually paid the money back.

The woman reportedly confirmed that she had kept her word and repaid the loan as promised.

Three days later, the situation reportedly took an unexpected turn when the boyfriend sent her a lengthy message accusing her of changing, becoming too independent and no longer appreciating him.

The woman was said to have been confused by the accusations because she believed there had been no major change in their relationship apart from her decision to become more financially responsible.

The situation became more complicated after one of her friends allegedly informed her that the boyfriend had been telling people that she was using him for money.

When she confronted him over the allegation, he reportedly explained that he only wanted to feel needed.

The woman, however, maintained that she appreciated the support he had given her but did not believe she should remain financially dependent on him simply to make him feel important.

The disagreement reportedly created further tension between the couple, who eventually ended their relationship about two weeks after the confrontation.
