French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the development was disclosed on Friday by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, in a post shared on social media.
Olusegun stated that Macron hosted Tinubu to the private dinner at the French presidential palace on Thursday night.
“French President Emmanuel Macron hosted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a private dinner last night at the Élysée Palace,” the presidential aide said.
The meeting adds to the engagements between the Nigerian and French leaders, who have maintained diplomatic contact on issues concerning relations between both countries.
