American singer Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have reportedly welcomed their first child together through a surrogate.

According to Bush Radio Academy, reports citing TMZ state that the couple’s daughter, Rose Bean Polansky, was born on June 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old singer and Polansky have largely kept details about their personal and family life private, making the reported arrival of their first child a significant development for the couple.

A birth certificate reportedly obtained by TMZ contained details about the newborn, including her name and sex. The report also stated that the baby was delivered by Dr. Robert Katz, an obstetrician and gynaecologist who has previously delivered the daughter of musicians Ciara and Russell Wilson.

The name Rose is said to have a personal connection to Lady Gaga. Her maternal grandmother was Veronica Rose “Ronnie” Ferrie Bissett, while the singer also has “La Vie En Rose,” the title of her song from the film A Star Is Born, tattooed along her spine.

Lady Gaga and Polansky began their relationship in 2019 and became engaged in April 2024. The couple has generally maintained a low profile regarding their private life.

The reason for their decision to welcome their child through surrogacy was not publicly established in the report. The arrival of Rose Bean Polansky nevertheless marks a new chapter for Gaga and Polansky as they begin parenthood together.
