ADC In Crisis? National Youth Leader Sultan Bello Suddenly Resigns
The National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Sultan Bello, has resigned from the party with immediate effect, bringing his membership and tenure in the party to an end.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Bello announced his decision in a resignation letter dated September 24, 2026, addressed to the Chairman of the Ja’oji Gyadi Gyadi Arewa Ward in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.
In the letter, Bello said his decision followed extensive consultations, careful consideration and personal reflection, stressing that he did not take the step lightly. He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and contribute to the activities and development of the party during his time as a member.
Bello also expressed gratitude to his principal, former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, for his guidance, trust and support throughout his political journey.
He equally thanked the leadership, stakeholders, members and supporters of the ADC for the opportunity to serve and work with the party.
Bello subsequently requested that the ward leadership formally accept his resignation and remove his name from the party’s membership records with immediate effect.
His resignation came amid reports that he had been left out of a campaign council list despite his involvement in the party’s activities. In a social media post following the resignation, Bello described the development as a difficult political lesson.
