Chelsea have received a major boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth, with Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Moises Caicedo returning to the starting line-up at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are resuming their league campaign following an extended international break and will be hoping to return to winning ways after their previous outing against Brentford. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are seeking their first top-flight victory of the season.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has made three changes to his starting team for the encounter, bringing key players back into the line-up as the club looks to strengthen its performance in the league.

Palmer’s return is particularly significant following the recent announcement of his new Chelsea contract, which reportedly runs until 2034. The agreement underlines the club’s long-term commitment to the England international.

Caicedo has also been handed his first start of the season after recovering from injury, providing an additional boost to Chelsea’s midfield. He is partnered by Jordan Henderson, who is set to make his home debut at Stamford Bridge.

Joao Pedro has also returned to the starting XI after missing Chelsea’s previous trip to Brentford. His inclusion alongside Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Pedro Neto gives the team additional attacking options as they look to trouble Bournemouth’s defence.

Emi Martinez retains his place in goal, while Josh Acheampong, Maxence Lacroix, Levi Colwill and Pep Chavarria form the defensive line. Colwill will captain the side.

Chelsea’s starting XI is Martinez; Acheampong, Lacroix, Colwill, Chavarria; Henderson, Caicedo; Neto, Palmer, Rogers; and Joao Pedro.

With several important players back in the team, Chelsea will be aiming to make the most of their home advantage and secure a positive result against Bournemouth.
