Some Artistes Never Get A Hit – Odumodublvck Speaks On Secrets Behind Music Success
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has alleged that some musicians in the country resort to voodoo practices in their quest to produce hit songs.
The rapper made the claim during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he discussed the challenges of achieving commercial success in the Nigerian music industry.
According to Odumodublvck, producing a hit song is not an easy achievement, noting that some artistes spend their entire careers without recording a song that reaches that level of popularity.
He suggested that some musicians may turn to spiritual practices in an attempt to secure musical success, while emphasising that the ability to consistently release hit songs deserves recognition.
The rapper specifically praised Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for maintaining impressive records of successful releases over several years.
He noted that their consistency in producing hit songs was an achievement worth respecting, particularly because many other artistes struggle to attain similar success throughout their careers.
In a related development, Odumodublvck has also spoken about a disturbing vision he claimed popular cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, shared with him.
The rapper disclosed the development in a post on his X account while discussing his Christian faith and what he described as his spiritual battles against forces of darkness.
According to Odumodublvck, Odumeje contacted him and revealed that he had seen a vision in which some individuals were allegedly planning to detain and poison him.
The rapper, however, maintained that the warning had not frightened him, expressing confidence in God’s protection and declaring that he would not be overcome by what he described as evil forces.
He also recalled that Odumeje had reportedly advised him not to worry, adding that the cleric suggested people would not understand what was happening.
In his post, Odumodublvck declared his confidence in divine protection, saying he was fortified by the blood of Christ and that victory was assured.
The rapper’s comments have generated discussions about spiritual beliefs, the pressures of achieving success in the entertainment industry and the different paths artistes may take in pursuing musical recognition.
