I Pray For Forgiveness – IVD Seeks Mercy From Bimbo’s Family, Friends And Business Partners
Lagos-based auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has appealed to the family of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, as well as his friends and business partners, to forgive him for any wrongs he may have committed.
IVD made the appeal in an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, where he reflected on the difficult experiences he has faced in recent years and expressed his desire to correct past mistakes.
His appeal comes years after the death of Bimbo, who died from injuries sustained during a house fire at their matrimonial home in October 2022, following a reported altercation with her husband.
The circumstances surrounding her death generated widespread public attention, particularly after members of her family accused IVD of involvement in the incident.
IVD was subsequently arrested and faced legal proceedings over allegations connected to his wife’s death. However, he was discharged and acquitted of complicity in the matter in 2025.
Months after Bimbo’s death, the auto dealer also attracted public attention when he made his relationship with controversial relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, public.
In his latest statement, IVD described the past few years as a difficult period marked by personal struggles and efforts to address his mistakes.
He appealed to anyone who might have been hurt by his actions to extend forgiveness, while acknowledging that he was not perfect and needed God’s mercy.
IVD wrote that he had spent years battling different challenges and reflecting on his past, adding that he was determined to make amends wherever possible.
He also referenced the importance of recognising different seasons in life, including periods for reflection and personal growth.
His public appeal has once again drawn attention to the controversies surrounding his marriage to Bimbo and the events that followed her death.
