A 40-year-old British woman, identified as Claire Chadwick, has reportedly died alongside her unborn baby after developing sepsis while in Nigeria.

Chadwick, who was 37 weeks pregnant, was expecting a baby girl with her husband, Ibrahim, when she reportedly developed serious medical complications that resulted in the death of the unborn child. She later succumbed to septic shock.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the deceased had relocated from the United Kingdom to Nigeria to build a new life with her husband before the unfortunate incident.

Chadwick had also gained considerable popularity on social media, where she regularly shared videos with Ibrahim on TikTok and Instagram, documenting their relationship, religious faith and food-related challenges.

Her sudden death has left family members and loved ones devastated, prompting her relatives to launch a GoFundMe fundraising campaign with a target of £10,000.

The fundraising initiative is aimed at covering the cost of transporting her remains and those of her unborn daughter back to the United Kingdom for burial.

Her sister, Shannon, explained that the family wanted both mother and daughter returned home so they could receive a dignified burial surrounded by relatives and loved ones.

Shannon also paid tribute to her late sister, describing her as a strong-willed woman who lived life according to her convictions and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

The tragic incident has sparked sadness among those who followed Chadwick’s journey on social media, as her family continues to seek support to fulfil their wish of bringing her and her unborn daughter home for their final resting place.
