He likened the trend to a volcano, erupting quickly but with a short lifespan. According to him, most skit makers lack longevity in the industry, and their fame tends to fade away rapidly, sometimes lasting for just a few minutes.

In contrast, stand-up comedians have the potential to maintain their presence and continue entertaining audiences for years.

Meanwhile, veteran Nigerian rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Steven, widely known as Ruggedman, has embraced skitmaking as well.

Taking a break from the music space, Ruggedman shared in a recent interview with Hip TV that he is now involved in creating a character named ‘Mazi Kalu,’ an old man with problems who occasionally tries to help others solve their issues.

The rapper also revealed that he had initially begun his career as an actor, playing minor roles in movies before achieving fame as a rapper.
