Ogun State NIPR to Honor Distinguished Nigerians at 2023 Annual Colloquium

The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to hold its annual colloquium tomorrow, where four distinguished Nigerians will be honored.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The event, themed “Pluralism and Public Opinion Management: Challenges and Prospects for a Sustainable Democracy in Nigeria,” will take place at the Cinema Hall, June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta.

Tunde Lemo, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); Hon. Kayode Akinmade, former Special Adviser to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and senior consultant to Governor Abiodun; Mrs.

Ronke Sokefun, former Board Chairman of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC); and Otunba Wole Ogunbayo, a property magnate.

The colloquium will feature Professor Adelaja Odukoya from the University of Lagos as the guest speaker, with veteran journalist Eddie Aina as the moderator and Professor Biyi Abosede, Ustaz Jubril Awwal, and Professor (Mrs) Bolanle Akeredolu-Ale as discussants.

Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, the NIPR National President, will chair the event, which will be attended by prominent traditional rulers who are public relations veterans, including the Olota of Ota and the Towulade of Akinale.

Governor Abiodun will share his perspectives on achieving social harmony for sustainable democracy in Nigeria.

The annual colloquium is expected to draw erudite scholars, professionals, government functionaries, political actors, traditional rulers, leaders of ethnic groups, civil society organizations, religious bodies, media communities, and Mass Communication students from various tertiary institutions.
