Don’t Tie Down His Investment: Wale Jana Speaks On Toluwanisings Burial Dispute

Published

Businessman Wale Jana has weighed in on the ongoing dispute over the final resting place of late gospel singer Toluwanisings, warning that burying the musician in his newly built home in Ibadan could affect the property’s value and limit the financial options available to his surviving family.

Toluwanisings died suddenly on October 14, 2026, triggering a disagreement between his father, who reportedly wants him buried in the house, and his widow, Elizabeth, who opposes the proposal.

In a post shared on Instagram, Jana said he had initially avoided discussions surrounding the singer’s death because of the emotional pain associated with the incident. However, he said he decided to speak out after learning about the disagreement between the late singer’s relatives and his wife.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Jana argued that the house represented a significant investment and a potentially important source of financial security for the singer’s widow and their two daughters.

Citing Proverbs 13:22, which speaks about leaving an inheritance for future generations, the businessman said he believed Toluwanisings would have wanted to secure his family’s future through the assets he left behind.

Jana noted that the property could appreciate in value and provide several financial options for the family, including renting it out, converting it into apartments or selling it if necessary.

He warned that using the house as the singer’s burial place could make it more difficult for his widow and children to benefit fully from the investment, particularly if maintaining the property became financially challenging.

The businessman also questioned whether the late singer’s relatives were adequately considering the long-term welfare of his immediate family in their position on the burial arrangements. He suggested that the family consider a suitable private burial ground instead of burying him in the only house he reportedly built.

Jana further expressed concern about the financial challenges that could confront a widow raising two daughters, especially if she had to maintain a property without the late singer’s support.

His comments have added another perspective to the ongoing debate, which involves both the family’s burial preferences and concerns about preserving the assets left behind for the deceased’s wife and children.

Jana concluded by describing death as painful and praying for God’s mercy for families dealing with loss.
