A viral video emerged showing Ganduje, his wife Hafsat (Gwaggo), and the new nominee, Bunkure, laughing while discussing the situation.

In the video, a woman, whose face was not visible, expressed gratitude and made remarks about the nomination. Ganduje responded by saying, “I want them to call out Gwaggo again.

They have opened a new chapter of ignorance. We are thankful this one (referring to Bunkure) has joined the caucus.”

Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, a former commissioner for Higher Education during Ganduje’s second term as Kano state governor, has close ties to the Ganduje family due to her friendship with Amina.
